Situated a hundred kilometres south of Paris, Fontenay-sur-Loing is a small rural district with 1650 inhabitants which stretches out over 7 kilometres along the pretty Loing Valley and which has managed to maintain its natural surroundings, offering at the same time interesting possibilities for development.

Its principal advantage is to be situated in the heart of an exceptional communication network. The Loing Canal, the PARIS-NEVERS railway and the national road 7 (RNIL7) cross its territory from north to south, but it is the density of motorways which must be emphasized. The A6 links PARIS-LYON and the Mediterranean. The A77 gives access to NEVERS and to the regions of Central France. The opening of the motorway A19 during the spring of 2009 will complete this network by offering a road link between East and West, which will join up motorways coming from Germany and Eastern France to those existing near ORLEANS, the Loire Valley and down the Atlantic coast-line.

Investors will be able to find the spaces necessary to their implantation thanks to the Business activity area of "le Mardeleux", 10 kilometres from Montargis. Tourists may choose between visiting the beautiful mediaeval city of Ferrieres-en-Gatinais with its Carolingian abbey and many outdoor activities like rambling, cycling or even fishing in the Loing Valley and the Forest of Montargis. They will be able to take advantage of the rural gîte installed in the former Post-house in Fontenay or of the magnificent Golf course at The Vaugouard.
